The Division of Nursing and Midwifery, Health Sciences School, University of Sheffield, is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified external examiner for the above programme leading to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as an adult nurse.
The appointment will be from September 2023 for a period of 4 years.
The 2 years with APEL programme, which has been developed around a problem based learning philosophy.
Full course details will be provided to the appointee. Board of Examiners meeting are currently held virtually.
The successful applicant would be appointed from September 2023 for a term of 4 years.
Successful candidate will be expected to:
- Comment on/contribute to programme development
- Review, approve and provide feedback on all student assessment procedures
- Attend relevant examinations boards
- Provide an annual report
In addition to the review of theoretical assessments external examiners will be expected to engage with the assessment of practice, review APEL documents for applicants accepted onto the programme and attend the relevant examination boards.
Please be aware that some of the dates on the assessment calendars are short turnarounds.
