We are seeking to appoint an external examiner to examine a range of modules in our Criminology and Policing subject area which includes the following programmes: BSc (Hons) Criminology, BSc (Hons) Criminology with Law, BSc (Hons) Policing and Investigation and MSc Criminology and International Security.
External examiners will be required to contribute to the assessment process, moderate and report on student work, attend Course Assessment Boards, submit an annual report and sign off the Course Leader’s response to the report.
Appointees will have relevant experience within Criminology and Policing, a PhD in a relevant discipline. Although previous experience as an external examiner is desirable, the School will make arrangements for new external examiners to have a mentor, where needed. An induction programme is provided for external examiners.
The post is due to commence in September 2023. All appointments are for a period of four years.
