Health Sciences University (formerly known as AECC University College) is seeking an External Examiner for our MSc Global Healthcare Management. This is a 1-year postgraduate course currently in its first year of delivery, which operates on September/January/May entry points.

The appointment starts 30 April 2025, with a normal tenure of 4 academic years ending the December of the final year of tenure.

Previous external examining experience is strongly preferred but not essential.

Applicants must have knowledge and understanding of the UK sector agreed reference points for the maintenance of academic standards and the assurance and enhancement of quality at FHEQ Level 7.

Applicants should have competence and experience in the field of teaching and learning in HE within Healthcare leadership and management, global healthcare challenges and policy development as well as aspects of digital transformation, innovation and sustainability management in healthcare.

Applied knowledge of United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) will be very advantageous.
Membership of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) is also preferred but not essential.

Full criteria for the appointment and expectations of the role will be provided to suitable applicants. A fee is payable in line with sector norms as well as reasonable expenses, subject to standard HMRC regulations.
