The Institute of Public Care (IPC) at Oxford Brookes University is looking for an External Examiner for our postgraduate certificates. IPC delivers two national leadership development programmes for Social Care Wales.
The Postgraduate Certificate in Strategic and Operational Leadership (https://ipc.brookes.ac.uk/what-we-do/skills-development/courses/middle-manager-development-programme) is aimed at middle managers in social care settings across Wales. The Postgraduate Certificate in Managing Practice Quality (https://ipc.brookes.ac.uk/what-we-do/skills-development/courses/the-team-manager-development-programme) supports front-line managers to improve practice quality, manage their team effectively and handle change successfully.
This is a paid opportunity. The main duties are moderation of coursework, (virtual) attendance at our exam boards, and completion of an annual report. The post will start on 1 April 2022 and will be for 4 years.
Ideally, we would like to appoint a suitably qualified person who is bilingual in Welsh and English. Previous experience in external examining is also preferable but not essential.
