We are seeking to appoint an external examiner for the Postgraduate Certificate in Education for Healthcare Professionals. This is an interprofessional programme with a attracts a range of healthcare professionals such as (but not limited to) nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, occupational therapists, dieticians, radiographers, and physiotherapists, who are involved in teaching and/or the support of learning. This programme is accredited by Advance HE at D1 (Associate Fellow).
The external examiner will be expected to contribute to the quality assurance processes of assessment, external examiner review of student work, submit module report, attend examination boards (at least once a year, which can be online) and submit an annual report.
We are seeking an experienced academic, qualified to post graduate level, including a recordable teaching qualification, and registered with the NMC or HCPC. The applicant must be a Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE). Previous experience as an external examiner would be advantageous, however, support is available for new external examiners.
The post will commence from September 2024, and is for a period of four years.
