The University of Northampton is looking for an External Examiner for our BA (Hons) Social Work.
Social work has a long history at The University of Northampton and we value the role of the External Examiner as it ensures that we are doing fair assessments of students and adhering to the University and Social Work England standards.
We work closely with the External Examiner to ensure that educational and subject specific threshold standards are maintained and good practice and innovation in learning, teaching and assessment is developed. Please note you will need to have a current registration with Social Work England
We are looking for someone:
• Who is suitably qualified with expertise in the above areas, ideally a Programme Leader or Senior Lecturer on similar programmes;
• Previous experience as an external examiner is preferred but not essential
• Employed as a full time academic with a HEI
The appointment will be for the four academic years 2021 to 2025, starting from 1 October 2021.
