We are seeking to appoint an external examiner for the Management in Health and Social Care provision at Oxford Brookes. This Includes a programme delivered In Oxford and a matching programme delivered in Hong Kong as part of a Flying Faculty.
The programmes cover operational resource management, organisational management, leadership, coaching and mentoring and research skills. The programmes are written for International students although we also provide all modules as CPD to organisations such as the NHS. Our students in Hong Kong are all nurse leaders who are developing their practice through modules that are taught by Oxford Brookes staff who fly to Hong Kong for classes.
The suitable candidate for this role will be currently engaged in teaching of healthcare management or a cognate subject at masters level. Experience of external examining and international student support is desirable but not essential.
The appointment is from the beginning of January 2024 for a term of four years. External Examiners are required to moderate assessments, attend online examination committees, and to complete an annual report. External Examiners are also requested to provide comments on proposed modifications to modules and the development of new modules, within their area of expertise.
