Edinburgh Napier University is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for our MSc Healthcare Management Programme.
Applications are invited from suitably experienced academic staff involved in the delivery of higher education programmes in health or social care. A professional qualification is not necessary. The successful applicant is expected to provide external examination for this programme which currently has two cohorts per academic year, to attend Board meetings at least once a year and submit an annual report.
Knowledge of postgraduate programmes and specifically healthcare management is required and previous experience in external examining is desirable.

As an External Examiner you will receive a contract of employment from the University for undertaking your role, and you must be eligible to work within the UK. The appointment will commence 1st Sep 2022 and the tenure is for a period of four years until 31st Dec 2026.
External Examiners must be impartial in making their judgements and should have no previous close involvement with the University which might compromise their objectivity. All External Examiner appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment.
