We are seeking to appoint an External Examiner to a range of core modules within our MSc Advanced Practice distance learning and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (part-time) programmes. The programmes are designed for health and social care professionals to enable them to expand their expertise within a clinical, education, management or research role. The content of programmes are responsive of the changing health and social care needs of the population and reflective of contemporary healthcare and the needs of practitioners. As External Examiner you are required to monitor the quality of the programme; externally moderate assessed work; attend examination boards; complete an annual report and comment on proposed programme modifications.

Applicants should be suitably qualified academics with relevant professional experience in the fields of health and social care and registration with either the NMC or an appropriate regulatory body. It would be desirable to have previous experience as an External Examiner, but those new to the role would be considered. We would be looking for the successful candidate to commence in January 2020. An induction day to the School will be arranged on appointment.
