The School of Health and Social Care at University of Gloucestershire are seeking to appoint an External Examiner for the following programmes:
- MSc Advanced Clinical Practice
- MSc Advanced Professional Practice
The role would involve being an external examiner across a range of Level 7 advanced practice modules including advanced physical assessment, leadership, research, service improvement, work-based learning, frailty and independent project.
Excellent support for this role is provided by the Course Lead, the Academic Subject Lead and the University. The University normally expects external examiners to attend a minimum of one examination board per year. Applicants are advised that the University applies the following criteria to external examiners:
The area of expertise of external examiners is within the area of examinations undertaken;
- Applicants should have recently been employed (or are still employed) within a university appointment;
- The applicant must not have been a University of Gloucestershire examiner within the last five years;
- The applicant will have a recognised advanced practice related qualification, and be either Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered.
Commencement date as soon as possible for a period of 4 years.
