The University of Northampton is seeking to appoint an External Examiner in the Nursing subject area for the following programme which runs as both an apprenticeship and standard route. This role is available to commence as soon as possible.
- MSc Advanced Clinical Practice
(Please note that the Prescribing and End Point Assessment modules are covered by alternative External Examiner posts)
The University of Northampton’s MSc Advanced Clinical Practice course aims to equip healthcare professionals with advanced clinical skills and knowledge needed to lead and develop complex evidence-based clinical decisions, whilst enhancing service delivery and improving health outcomes within Practice. Linked to the four pillars of ‘Advanced Practice’; clinical, education, leadership, and research; students studying for their masters in advanced clinical practice will also benefit from learning with specialists from a range of healthcare settings, whilst ensuring patient safety and ethical practice.
This programme is accredited by the Centre of Advancing Practice.
The ideal candidate will:
- be suitably qualified with expertise in the above areas, ideally a Programme Leader or Senior Lecturer on similar programmes;
- have previous experience as an external examiner but is not essential;
The appointment will be for the four academic years 2023 to 2027 and will start immediately upon appointment.
