The School of Health Sciences, within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Nottingham, is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for our MA Research Methods (Health) programme.

2. External examiner responsibilities, regulations & requirements:

a) Responsibilities:
External examiner responsibilities include external moderation of assessments, completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at Examination boards (at least one per year) The School uses an electronic marking system. External examiners are required to make use of the system during the external moderation process.

b) Criteria and restrictions for the appointment of external examiners:

All appointments are subject to candidate(s) meeting the University’s criteria for appointment.

c) Requirements:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff in the relevant area.
Applicants should have relevant academic and/or professional qualifications to at least the level of the qualification being externally examined and any appropriate practical experience, where appropriate.

The appointment will start in September 2022 and will be for a period of four years.
