External Examiner for MSc Sport Rehabilitation and Therapy (Pre-reg) and MSc Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation

AECC University College is seeking an External Examiner for our MSc Sport Rehabilitation and Therapy (Pre-registration) and MSc Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation qualifications. These are one-year, level 7 courses with common units, and both operate on a September entry point.

The appointment starts from 1 September 2024 with a normal tenure of 4 academic years.

Previous external examining experience is strongly preferred but not essential. Applicants must have knowledge and understanding of the UK sector agreed reference points for the maintenance of academic standards and the assurance and enhancement of quality at FHEQ Level 7. Applicants must have competence and experience in the field of teaching and learning in HE within sport rehabilitation and therapy.

In addition, applicants should hold membership of professional, statutory, or regulatory bodies as follows:
1. SST – Society of Sports Therapy and/or
2. BASRaT – British Association of Sports Rehabilitators

Full criteria for the appointment and expectations of the role will be provided to suitable applicants. A fee is payable in line with sector norms as well as reasonable expenses, subject to standard HMRC regulations.
