The University of Northampton is looking for an External Examiner for FdSc Nursing Associate.

The University of Northampton is looking to recruit a suitable qualified NMC registered academic to act as External Examiner for the FdSc Nursing Associate programme. The university has a long history of delivering nursing programmes at pre and post graduate level. FdSc Nursing Associate is the newest programme within the existing provision. The university has been involved with nursing associates since the first wave of the pilot programmes in 2017. The programme is validated to the NMC (2018) programme standards and recruits both apprentices and direct entry UCAS entry students.

We are looking for someone:

  • who is suitably qualified with expertise in the above areas, ideally a Programme Leader or Senior Lecturer on similar programmes;
  • a Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) registrant;
  • previous experience as an external examiner is preferred but not essential

The appointment will be for the four academic years 2025 to 2029, from 1 October 2025 (or immediate start if appointing after 1 October 2025).
