Foundation level training in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice

The School of Health Sciences is looking to recruit a new External Examiners for the 2021/2022 academic year to support the two modules within the Family Interventions for Adults programme.

The School of Health Sciences at the University of Surrey is a vibrant and innovative school, offering a broad range of educational programmes in healthcare, this clinically focussed programme is run in partnership with Sussex Partnership NHS trust.

External examiners are required to review and evaluate assessment marking; be a member of the Board of Examiners and attend 1-2 meetings per year, (these are likely to remain virtually online for the foreseeable future); comment and give advice on programme content, balance and structure; and to complete an annual report as part of the University of Surrey’s quality assurance mechanisms. The University requires external examiners to attend a minimum of one Board of Examiners meeting per year.

Experience of external examining would be an advantage but is not essential, as for this programme we are particularly looking for specialist clinical expertise. All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners. The successful applicant would be appointed with effect from Sept 2021 for a term of four academic years.
