The School of Nursing and Advanced Practice at Liverpool John Moores University is looking to appoint an External Examiner for the Doctorate in Professional Practice in Health (DPPH) for this academic year.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academics who have experience within taught doctoral programmes. All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment. The appointment will normally be for a period of 4 years.
Suitable candidates will:
- Be employed in Higher Education
- Have experience in delivering Professional Doctorates
- Have experience in designing, delivering, and assessing Level 8 provision.
- Usually have previous External Examiner experience.
- Be resident and have the right to work in the UK.
Duties will include:
- Moderating samples of scripts and other assessed materials, advising the programme teams on the content and standard of assessments
- Completion of module reports and a yearly programme report.
- Liaising with other external examiners at LJMU.
- Attendance at the Board of Examiners as required.
