External Examiner – BSc Nursing Programme Mental Health Field
The Department of Nursing and Midwifery are seeking to appoint an External Examiner for BSc Nursing Programme (Mental Health Field)

The role of the External Examiner is to provide assurance on:
a. whether academic standards are set and maintained at appropriate levels
b. whether the assessment process is appropriate, rigorous, equitable, effective and conducted in line with policies, regulations and guidance
c. whether the standard of student performance is properly judged against the level set, and
d. the comparability of the standard and level of student achievement with those in other higher education institutions.
This post will be effective from the date of commencement (TBC) and the term of office would normally be four years.
Applicants should hold appropriate academic and nursing qualification(s), have experience of programme delivery and acting in the role of an External Examiner. All External Examiner appointments are subject to approval by the University’s Joint Faculty Executive Committee.
