The Leicester School of Nursing and Midwifery at De Montfort University, Leicester require two new external examiners for our BSc Nursing with NMC registration and Degree Nurse Apprenticeship with NMC registration programmes for the Adult Field of practice. One position is required with immediate start, with the other position available from 1st January 2024. The tenure is for the duration of four years.
As an External examiner you will be required to monitor the quality of coursework across a range of modules at levels 4, 5 and 6. You will contribute to the quality monitoring processes of modules within the programmes and undertake an external review of assessed work. Opportunities will be provided to meet with members of the programme team and students within the School and in clinical practice. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and developments in new modules within their area of expertise. Experienced external examiners are preferred, however, support will be offered for those new to the role.
