The University of Huddersfield is seeking an External Examiner for the next academic year for the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy course. The University of Huddersfield offers extensive support for External Examiners and holds workshops annually. The University normally expects External Examiners to attend a minimum of one examination board per year and to provide an annual external examiners report. Based on the University’s criteria for External Examiner appointments, applicants are advised that the successful External Examiner:
Will have a recognised Physiotherapy qualification, and be Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered.
Have appropriate and current standing, expertise and experience to maintain comparability of standards across the Higher Education sector.
Be fluent in English.
Be able and willing to receive samples of work electronically rather than as paper-based material.
The successful candidate will be expected to attend and complete the induction at the University. The course team are currently undergoing work to revalidate the course, with a start date for the new course planned for September 2024. The external examiner will be expected to support the team during this work. The successful External Examiner will commence their tenure on 15th September 2023, for a period of 4 years.
