Wrexham Glyndŵr University in North-East Wales is looking to appoint an External Examiner for the BSc (Hons) Mental Health and Wellbeing, BSc (Hons) Public Health and Wellbeing and DipHE in Health and Social Wellbeing programmes.

Subject content Principle duties will include:

  • Verifying assessments;
  • Moderating work;
  • Attending assessment boards;
  • Commenting on proposed programme, module enhancements and developments;
  • Write an annual External Examiner report.

Applicants should have subject expertise in public health and/or mental health and social wellbeing or social science subject areas, and preferably external examiner experience or have completed Advance HE training. The candidate should also be currently teaching in any of these subject areas and have had curriculum design/development experience relating to higher academic level programmes.
Appointment will be for a period of 4 years starting with the academic year 2022/23. External examiners are expected to review the assessment process and moderate work and attend the assessment board once a year usually in June / July. An annual payment would be received and this is calculated as part of the nomination process.
