BN (Hons) Learning Disability Nursing 3 year programme
The School of Medical and Health Science is seeking the appointment of an external examiner for the Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) Learning Nursing Field 3 year programme. The School of Medical and Health Science is based on two sites in North Wales. It has a focus on working with professionals and health services and supporting innovation in health care. The Learning Disability Nursing course utilises placement across the lifespan and across North Wales region. The school has a world-leading profile in research in healthcare improvement. Applications are invited from suitably qualified academic staff; applicants must hold current NMC registration in Learning Disability Nursing and hold a recorded teaching qualification with the NMC. Experience of external examining would be an advantage, but is not essential. The School operates on-line submission, marking and feedback of assignments. Experience of Turnitin and Blackboard would be desirable, however training will be provided. The post will contribute to the quality and integrity of the programme through external moderation of assessments. The role requires reviewing of both generic and Learning disability field modules, completion of monitoring reports and attendance at the Board of Examiners. The appointment will be with effect from 1st April 2022 and will be for a full 4-year term. Full course details and documentation will be provided to the appointee and an induction day will be offered to be held at the University following appointment.
