The University of Hertfordshire (UH) requires an external examiner for the Post Graduate Certificate in Applied Mental Health Practice programme and the Pre-AMHP Foundation course for trainee Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) within the School of Health and Social Work, commencing academic year September 2023.
This small and friendly course team require an external examiner to undertake the pivotal role of monitoring the quality of these courses and externally assuring assessed work.
There are 3 modules in total for the AMHP training and a small number of additional/related modules may also need to be reviewed as part of the role.
The successful individual will need to have relevant experience and have the necessary expertise in the context of the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) role. They should be registered with Social Work England or another appropriate professional register. They need to have experience of working in Higher Education and they have qualifications to at least level 7.
Previous experience as an External Examiner would be desirable but is not essential.
The post is for a period of 4 years, starting 30/09/2023.
