An external Examiner is required to work with the programme team in the following two pathways:-

  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography (Two year accelerated)
  • Diagnostic Radiography Degree Apprenticeship

The Faculty of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the above programmes, which commences in November 2024. The University of Hull has a long history of providing high quality healthcare education and the apprenticeship programme complements our existing provision, providing a work-based route into the radiography profession. This is the first delivery of the newly established two year accelerated Diagnostic Radiography pathway at the University of Hull and is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the first two year undergraduate diagnostic Radiography programme in the country.

The external examiner will have experience of teaching and examining at a Higher Education institution in Diagnostic Radiography. They should have an excellent understanding of quality assurance matters, including the QAA Quality Benchmarks. Prior experience of being an External Examiner is preferred alongside expertise as evidenced through publications in the field of healthcare and be HCPC registered. The role will include attendance at Examination boards and chairing the End Point Assessment, submission of annual reports, reviewing coursework, examination scripts and providing feedback to markers.

Appointments last for 4 years in duration (November 2024 – October 2028).
