The Faculty of Allied Health and Wellbeing are seeking to appoint several Independent Assessor to support the End Point Assessment Activity for the Degree Apprenticeship MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner. The Independent Assessor (IA) will conduct the assessment of the higher degree integrated apprenticeship in accordance with the regulations outlined in the Advanced Clinical Practitioner End Point Assessment Plans follows:

  • Gateway requirements: The IA will ensure that the Gateway requirements have been satisfactorily met
  • An Open Book Examination – The IA will be expected to mark and grade the examination paper and provide narrative feedback to support the grade awarded.
  • Presentation of Practice – The IA will be expected to attend the presentations (this can be online), grade both the written report and oral presentation, arrive at an overall grade for this element and provide narrative feedback to support the grade awarded.
  • An Overall Grade Award – Based on the grade awarded for each element and in compliance with the regulations associated with the End Point assessment plan the IA will identify and overall grade for each apprentice.
  • EPA Assessment Periods – July & December, Reassessment Opportunities March & September
  • Current learner profile approx. 70 learners per year, IA activity estimated 3.5 hrs per learner

Applicants must:

  • Have a minimum of three years’ experience working in the field of Advanced Clinical Practice in a clinical and/or educational settings, Experience in making assessment judgements at Masters level
  • Hold a Professional Healthcare Registration
  • Hold Masters degree in a health or related subject
  • Have familiarity with the DA Advanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship standard and End Point Assessment Plan
  • Be independent of any learners attending the UCLAN programme

Salary £50.00 per hour
