This is an exciting opportunity to join our College of Health, Science and Society in a senior leadership role that spans four schools and accounts for approximately 11,500 students and 500 FTE staff. This role is an integral part of the College Executive, reporting to the Deputy Head of College and you will also have a key connection working through to the Registrar and Pro-Vice Chancellor for Student Experience.

In this senior role you will be undertaking strategic leadership with specific accountability for business planning and operational delivery. Operationalising the College strategy, the role holder will develop, deliver and monitor plans that ensure the effective allocation and deployment of resources and services, compliance and governance requirements, and provision of a healthy, safe and sustainable work and study environment. The role holder will work closely with the Deputy Head of College to ensure the College’s operational and financial viability and success (performance, health, effectiveness, sustainability).

As a member of both the College executive and the Student Journey Directorate leadership team, the College Manager has a pivotal role in partnering and collaborating across the academic, technical and professional services to ensure coherency, efficiency and effectiveness of the student experience, research and enterprise across the College.

The College Manager will lead on and contribute to University-wide initiatives to explore and solve sector and institutional challenges, representing the University at key external networks, they will develop and promote the profile and reputation of their College and University.

Whilst based within the College, the role holder is expected to take a University-wide perspective in their work in line with UWE values. Through a collaborative approach, they will play a significant role in the implementation of strategic plans.
