The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences strives to be excellent in teaching, research and innovation. We are seeking an outstanding and inspiring individual to join our successful and highly committed team of academic staff who can contribute to the delivery of clinical skills teaching as a Clinical Skills Tutor. This will include facilitation of supporting teaching and assessment and associated academic administration. You will be engaged in delivering predesigned sessions using a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
The Department provides high quality, dynamic education using a variety of innovative teaching and learning methods delivered at all academic levels from undergraduate to doctoral study. You will work flexibly as part of a team to deliver materials prepared to enable contribution to teaching, learning and assessment to support a high-quality student experience in both pre-registration and post-registration programmes within the Department.
The role will include demonstration of practical techniques and skills through delivery of timetabled activity such as classroom, laboratory or workshop-based seminar discussions, training, presentations and instructional activity to set teaching materials which have been developed by an academic colleague. This will include Moving and Handling, Basic and Advanced life support and a range of clinical skill activities as part of undergraduate and postgraduate Nursing, Midwifery and Health curricula. You will also provide feedback and suggestions to improve/develop teaching materials, methods and approaches.
