An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an enthusiastic team delivering physiotherapy and sport rehabilitation education and undertaking related research. The Division of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences delivers a range of programmes leading to registerable qualifications, delivers an MSc in Physiotherapy related professional development and contributes to a number of other multi-professional masters programmes. It also offers a wide range of professional development activities and supports research programs at both MPhil and PhD level.

This post has arisen due to the ongoing development of the BSc in Physiotherapy. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of taught courses, in particular the Rehabilitation of the Elderly aspects and also contribute to research development within the Department.

For this post, candidates should have relevant qualifications related to the role, and have experience of the rehabilitation delivery in an elderly population. As the post will be in the Research & Teaching job family there is an expectation that the successful candidate is able to demonstrate research activity and may be eligible to be returned in the REF.

The Division has access to research facilities including a Human Performance Laboratory, with specialist movement analysis equipment, and additional equipment allows evaluation of other physiological measures, including peripheral nerve activity and cardiovascular dynamics. Opportunities to collaborate with other academic and clinical departments within Nottingham, and with other research centres will be encouraged.The post will include academic, and depending on experience, clinical responsibilities for students. Appropriate support for personal development will be available.
