Due to our continued success and growth the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual who can deliver high quality and innovative teaching and assessment to Advanced Clinical Practice students within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health.

We are seeking an advanced clinical practitioner with at least three-year’s experience in the role. We are particularly looking for an individual with an interest and expertise in the area of practical law and ethics. Applicants must hold a recognised MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and have current registration with the NMC, HCPC or RCPharm.

Applicants should ideally have relevant experience of teaching and learning in Advanced Clinical Practice, including all four-pillar activity (HEE 2017). Experience of delivering academic education and a recognised teaching qualification are desirable, but not essential.

As an Assistant Professor you would be required to undertake and lead curriculum development and innovation and be continually looking to improve course content and provision. Supporting the course director with all aspects of course management will be required including student monitoring, the promotion and marketing of the course, and support admission/ recruitment activities as required. This may include deputising for the course director as needed.

The University offers academic and professional development and provides a Post Graduate Certificate Teaching Qualification for individuals who do not hold a recognised teaching qualification. You will be supported to develop your interests in order to progress your career. Salary is dependent on experience.
