We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist (0.4fte) to join our ClinPsyD programme team as a tutor, working across and within the academic and research teams. You will join a forward thinking and enthusiastic ClinPsyD team to deliver first-class professional training for postgraduate clinical psychology trainees. This post is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who has interest and experience in teaching and research. The successful applicant will be a valued member of the academic and research teams, ensuring the academic curriculum and research aspects of the programme reflect contemporary psychological knowledge and practice and the learning and teaching provision is of high quality. The post-holder will contribute to teaching, the support and supervision of doctoral clinical psychology research projects, trainee pastoral support, and marking of academic and research related coursework.

The successful applicant will be based in the Department of Psychological Health, Wellbeing and Social Work within the Faculty of Health Sciences. The Faculty is vibrant and interdisciplinary delivering high quality teaching and research in Nursing, Social Work, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Dementia, and a wide range of allied health disciplines. The Faculty aims to conduct world-leading research in health and social work, which addresses regional, national, and global issues in the health sciences field. Our research aims to be interdisciplinary and focused on patient and service user outcomes. Research areas include social and psychological research into long-term conditions, psychological wellbeing and mental health, and maternal and reproductive health. The Faculty is home to a world leading research hub, the Institute of Clinical and Applied Health Research (ICAHR) and the Centre for Applied Research and Evaluation and Social and Psychological Research into Long Term Conditions (SPARC).

The salary will be paid at NHS Agenda for Change pay scales between Band 8a and Band 8b.
