The Department

An opportunity has arisen for a visionary, dynamic, and innovative educator to join our team of dedicated academics and technicians in supporting the development and delivery of Simulation and Immersive Technologies within courses in nursing and healthcare at UG and PG level.

The Role

The academic team, together with the support of administrative and technical staff, deliver programmes to a wide variety of courses including Nursing at Pre and Post registration, Nursing Associate, Midwifery, Social Work, Paramedics, Operating Department Practitioners and Health Promotion and Public Health across our London and Reading campuses.

The Person

Candidates will need to demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with students, other academics, clinical practitioners, and with support and technical staff. You will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of learning material that is relevant, innovative, evidence-based and current, in order to maintain the high quality of learning and teaching associated with the college.

Applicants must hold a current registration with the NMC or HCPC, hold a first degree in a relevant subject and ideally hold a recognised teaching qualification for Higher Education. For successful applicants without relevant teaching qualifications then they will join the UWL Academic Professional degree apprenticeship scheme supporting the UK government’s commitment to up skill the UK workforce.
