About You

You will be an experienced clinician, with a passion for teaching, learning and keen to share your professional nursing expertise and knowledge with the future nurse practitioners. You will possess transferable skills of adaptability, resilience and be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver multi-professional learning. You will have an established track record of supporting nurse students either in clinical practice or in an academic environment.

We have a nationally unique portfolio of programmes, including dual professions e.g. nurse & social work, nurse paramedic, dual and single nursing field registration, at both undergraduate and post graduate level. We are seeking individuals from all fields of nursing practice with current NMC registration and evidence of further professional development. We aim to give our students an excellent learning experience with high levels of support across theory and practice learning. We are actively developing students digital and online skills, advanced nursing skills as well as providing solid foundations in professionalism, leadership and research informed practice.

We have recently opened a state-of-the-art Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, to allow students to achieve realistic experience of care in a safe environment.

About the Role

As a result of our ongoing success in providing nurse education across all fields and the subsequent growth in our nursing portfolio, we are now seeking suitably qualified individuals to join our academic nursing team. We are looking to recruit to posts within our Child, Mental Health, Adult and Acute Care and Learning Disabilities teams.

For applications to Child Nursing posts – We would particularly welcome applicants with a background in acute clinical services and/or clinical research but will consider applications from all areas of children’s health care.

For Mental Health Nursing posts, we welcome applications from individuals who have extensive experience working as a registered Mental Health Nurse with a strong emphasis on delivering high quality, patient centred care and experience of working collaboratively and proactively across services.

For applications to the Adult Nursing posts, we are seeking individuals with clinical or educational experience in primary care or out of hospital care

For Learning Disabilities Nursing posts, we particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience in acute and community settings and/or education with an additional interest in autism.
