External Examiner – End Point Assessment–Registered Nurse Degree (NMC 2018) and Nursing Associate (NMC 2018) Apprenticeships

The School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an End Point Assessment External examiner for the following programmes:

  • Registered Nurse Degree (NMC 2018)
  • Nursing Associate (NMC 2018)

The successful applicants must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and have relevant experience teaching on a pre-registration programme. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff. Induction is material is provided to support new and existing applicants. If you are new to external examining, you will be able to access a robust support system.

The End Point Assessment External Examiner will be expected to:

  • Provide assurance that the EPA gateway and mandatory qualification requirements have been met.
  • Ensure the end-point assessment delivery plan aligns with the degree apprenticeship standard.
  • Review EPA support and assessment materials.
  • Attend assessment boards to confirm EPA decisions.
  • Provide feedback on proposed changes and enhancements to the degree apprenticeship curriculum.
  • Submit detailed reports per cohort, reflecting the above responsibilities.
