Sector Jobs

London Met is an extraordinary institution with the aim of transforming lives through excellent education. Our driving principles is equity and social inclusion, and this is what makes our University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.

The Health Science group of the School of Human Science at London Metropolitan University is seeking to appoint a new External Examiner for our newly approved BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy course set to start in September 2024. Applicants must have experience of delivering pre-registration Physiotherapy programmes and be registered with the HCPC.

Applicants should be working in UK HE with experience of teaching and examining at undergraduate levels. External Examiners attend Board of Examiners meeting at least once a year, submit an annual report and review coursework. Previous experience of external examining is not necessary, as the University will provide online induction training and a mentor.

The appointment is subject to approval by the University’s Assessment and Quality Development (AQD).

For further information or an informal discussion, please contact the Head of Physiotherapy, Prof Isaac Sorinola (i.sorinola@londonment.ac.uk).
