The Role
As Senior Teaching Fellow in Children and Young Peoples Nursing you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience.

Duties include:

  • Leading the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials and contributing to ongoing Curriculum Development.
  • Teaching on modules and courses at HE levels 4-7, and leading teams of teaching staff.
  • Leading moderation and quality assurance of appropriate module assessment.
  • The preparation and dissemination of both generic and specific formative and summative student feedback.

Qualifications Required

  • NMC Registration in Children’s Nursing.
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honors Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
  • A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education
  • PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous

Our Successful Candidate
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Children and Young Peoples Nursing with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.

An experienced team leader with good level of digital fluency, you will have experience using creating teaching materials for face to face and online teaching using a VLE.

Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to the academic subject area.
