Applications are invited for the above exciting full-time post working in the School of Medical and Health Sciences, Bangor University, available on a teaching and research track.

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in a subject area relevant to cancer or pharmacology (e.g. pharmacology, cancer biology, genomics or precision medicine) and demonstrable success in attracting external funding and/or equivalent impacts from industrial experience.

The successful candidate will have a track record of world-leading or internationally excellent publications in their subject area. They will benefit from access to our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities here at Bangor, and further develop their demonstrable success in research in a dynamic, thriving research environment. The Research Excellence Framework indicated that 95% of our research is internationally-excellent or world-leading, placing us 9th out of 89 institutions in terms of 3* and 4* outputs.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the delivery of teaching programmes, and contribute to all aspects of driving the success of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including formal taught modules, small study groups and co-ordination/delivery of Masters research projects.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.
