The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Practice is a vibrant academic community and the main provider of both undergraduate and postgraduate nursing, midwifery and paramedic education in the North of Scotland. Our vision is to transform health and social care in urban, remote and rural areas and our new School Strategy sets out how we will achieve that. Our current postgraduate taught portfolio is well established with a focus on advanced practice for community nurses and independent prescribing but we have plans to expand our provision. This is an exciting time to join the School to lead a team of academics to expand our postgraduate taught portfolio and to help us realise the ambition of our Strategy. You will have responsibility to demonstrate and promote excellence in postgraduate taught education through the design, development and delivery of contemporary, innovative and where possible, interdisciplinary programmes of education. You will undertake scholarly activity, maintain or work towards being research active and contribute to the School’s commercial activity and innovation, aligned to the School Strategy.

Salary on first appointment is normally to the bottom of the scale, although in exceptional circumstances an appointment further up the scale may be considered.
