Salary: UH8 Senior Lecturer £42,155 pa to £53,353 pa depending on skills and experience
Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: University of Hertfordshire, College Lane Campus (some teaching at Meridian House and De Havilland sites), Hatfield

Main duties & responsibilities
To lead on the delivery of high-quality academic input in relation to Non-Medical Prescribing & ensure students acquire the knowledge and skills required to become an independent prescriber. You will provide academic leadership for non-medical prescribing.

Maintain contemporary knowledge and scholarly activity in relation to the current professional agenda and developments in non-medical prescribing and demonstrating and applying innovative approaches to teaching techniques and support for students will also be required.

Skills and experience needed
You will have experience in supporting student learning in either a practice or classroom setting and of facilitating student learning in a university setting (e.g. student nurses, students on allied health professional programmes, NMP students). You will also be expected to have experience of good/innovative pedagogic practice and extensive experience of high-quality evidence of coaching or mentoring and teaching other professionals. Experience of partnership working with key stakeholders and provider organisations (NHS and Independent Sector) will also be essential.

You will have a theoretical knowledge of non-medical prescribing as well as proficiency requirements of PRSB standards. An ability to work to deadlines, and to set and monitor own standards, and work with a range of other disciplines will also be required. In addition to this you will be in proficient in English Language, verbal and written and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications required
Minimum of a Level 7 qualification in a relevant subject area, or equivalent qualification. You should also have live registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Health and Care Professions Council, General Pharmaceutical Council, or General Medical Council and be an independent prescriber with current experience. A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards this is essential.
