Are you interested in helping to teach, shape and develop the next generation of Community Specialist Practitioners (CSPs)?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the CSP programme. At the University of Cumbria we are proud to have pathways in district nursing and learning disabilities nursing. You will be working alongside our inspiring and supportive team whilst contributing to the teaching, student support and programme development. Your role is key in enhancing the current programme, contributing to the curriculum for the CSP and improving quality and taking forward the developing public health agenda. You will be required to take the lead for the programme overall and for the District nurse pathway.

The programme is delivered using a blended approach with a mix of online and face to face teaching using innovative methods. Effective links with practice will be maintained through the role of Academic Assessor and undertaking practice reviews for apprentices and non-apprentice students on the programme, working closely with students and practice partners.

This exciting opportunity is suitable for someone who has experience of teaching and brings with them contemporary knowledge and leadership skills from practice and is passionate about the future of public health nursing

Working in partnership with local NHS trusts, service users and carers; our Institute of Health provides initial pre-registration education and a range of post registration education for a broad range of health care professionals. Our aim is to support the skills requirements of the region, by attracting and retaining health professionals who will provide high quality, evidence-based care in a time of change in health and social care.
