Leeds Trinity University has embarked on the delivery of a strategic ambition to provide a range of Nursing and Allied Health Professions’ programmes to support local, regional, and national workforce demands. As such, there exists an exciting opportunity located within the growing Faculty of Social and Health Sciences to help shape the future nursing and healthcare workforce in Yorkshire. As Programme Leader, you will have a unique opportunity to develop the design, delivery and evaluation of the adult nursing curriculum and be involved in teaching across the entire nursing portfolio, enabling our students to have a clear vision of the future Nurse, contributing to safe person- centred care and to meet the NMC Future Nurse Standards for registration.

As Programme leader you will have significant teaching/practice experience and to be able to demonstrate a successful track record of innovative curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment strategies and research related activity. You will have a high level of insight into contemporary community, primary, acute, or urgent care practice as well as experience in healthcare leadership, medicines management, clinical skills, simulation, and practice-based education. Knowledge of contemporary theories and concepts that underpin adult nursing education is essential. You will be committed to co- production in designing and delivering interprofessional education for the benefit of our students, partners, and the public.

You will have demonstrable knowledge, experience and skills within the field of Adult Nurse education and hold a Postgraduate degree in a related subject area, or equivalent. You will need to be a current registrant with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with substantial post qualifying clinical experience.

You will be motivated, pro-active and engage with collaborative working both as a team member and with wider partners. We aim to ensure that we equip our students with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace upon graduation and throughout their professional careers. As such, we not only focus on the acquisition of caring skills and knowledge, but also on vital transferable skills such as compassionate leadership and robust digital and technology skills.
