The role

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Professor of Nursing to assume leadership of research and scholarship within the Academy of Nursing, University of Exeter.

The Academy of Nursing at the University of Exeter was set up in 2019. It currently offers an innovative 4 year undergraduate MSci Nursing programme with the option of dual registration in adult and mental health nursing. We are working towards the development of a programme of nursing-related research and scholarship that contributes to excellence in health and social care, locally and globally and is compatible with College and University research strengths.

The post holder will be an innovative researcher with a strong and current record of research funding and international quality publications. They will be a leading international figure in nursing with the ability to develop scholarship and research, alongside the Head of Nursing and Professor of Interprofessional Education, within a relatively new and growing team. The development of a programme of research will be in collaboration with the Academy of Nursing team, PPI group members, students and internal and external partners. The post holder will be committed to developing the Academy of Nursing as a hub of educational and research excellence in the UK and beyond.
