The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the School of Science, Technology & Health to work with our partners and stakeholders to introduce Speech and Language Therapy into the York St John university portfolio.

The successful candidate will initially be tasked with developing and delivering material for a contemporary pre-registration Speech & Language Therapy Masters programme. Candidates will be supported by a skilled and enthusiastic team at the university and external experts to gain HCPC approval for the programme and develop learning and teaching materials. The posts are initially offered for a fixed term of 12 months to complete the development work and would lead to the creation of permanent roles upon successful delivery of the programme.

Key Requirements

Successful candidates should have contemporary knowledge and experience of speech and language therapy, hold current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Speech and Language Therapist. Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and a postgraduate level qualification is desirable but not essential.

Experience of working in Higher Education, programme development, or the ability to develop external partnerships would be a distinct advantage.
