With either a good honours degree, equivalent professional qualification, and significant practical work experience both candidates will utilise their knowledge to contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise, and business engagement.

The successful candidates will possess the ability to contribute to curriculum design and development and will be committed to undertaking research, development and/or scholarship. The ability to teach a range of Food Science and Technology related topics is essential. In addition they must have particular expertise and knowledge of: food safety; food chemistry; food process engineering; or, food product development. Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant discipline or be willing to achieve this within 6 years of appointment.
