We’re looking for a dedicated individual to contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement in the Department of Sciences in the School of Health and Life Sciences.

The successful candidate will have:

  • First Degree in relevant Discipline / equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline
  • PhD in relevant discipline
  • Hold or willing to achieving a relevant Teaching Qualification normally within two years of employment i.e. PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation
  • Knowledge of and ability to teach Biomedical Science
  • Ability to contribute tocurriculum development
  • Commitment to and demonstrable potential to undertake research, development and/or scholarship to enhance teaching
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills, showing ability to communicate highly complex information to a range of audiences
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to engage the audience
  • IT skills appropriate for producing effective teaching and learning materials and for engaging with students
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to marketing and enhancement of teaching
