The School of Health Sciences is looking to recruit an external ‘Subject Specialist Visitor’, to join the panel for our upcoming NMC approval visit, the aim of this role is to offer subject specific guidance to the Chair and NMC appointed QA visitors, whilst acting as critical friend to programme team.

The role will involve reviewing of all programme validation paperwork prior to the event, 1 x potential pre-meeting with the Chair and panel members, and virtual attendance at the QA visit, being held on 8th February 2024.

Essential criteria: The applicant must have a NMC recorded SPQ qualification (District Nursing or Community Childrens Nursing) and hold current programme design and delivery experience and working within a HEI environment, as a high level knowledge of NMC (2022) Standards for Proficiency for Specialist Practice Qualification will be required. You will also need to have an understanding of prescribing practice applied to SPQ programmes.
