School of Health and Psychological Sciences at City, University of London is looking to recruit an External Examiner for the successful Foundation Degree in Healthcare: Nursing Associate (Apprenticeship and Direct Entry).

The post will commence from September 2023 and will be based on an initial four-year term.

The focus of the role of EE will be to scrutinise and examine a variety of modules within the Foundation Degree in Healthcare: Nursing Associate (Apprenticeship and Direct Entry).

External examiner responsibilities include moderation of assessments, completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at subject panels where student marks are ratified. A schedule of subject panels per academic session will be made available. Experienced and new external examiners will be considered provided the applicant has the relevant professional qualification(s) and experience. Relevant professional experience in the fields of adult nursing and mental health nursing and a valid teaching qualification are essential requirements for this post. Furthermore, the appointment will be subject to Right to Work in the UK and this will involve checking passport or similar documentation.
