We are looking for a dynamic individual to Lead our practice placement provision across our health and social care portfolio. The Associate Professor (Principal Lecturer equivalent) post holder will join the school leadership team and will work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to further enhance the range and quality of placements for our students across Nursing, Midwifery, Nursing Associate, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic Science, Speech and Language Therapy, Diagnostic Radiography and Social Work.

Do you have experience of placement and practice education in Health and Social Care either in higher education, the NHS, PVI sector, Council or Health Education England?

Do you have the communication skills to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively develop and implement our practice learning strategy which will meet the school and university objectives?

Do you have the skills and experience of identifying opportunities and ways to innovate, and are able to evaluate and disseminate the effectiveness and impact of the innovations in practice learning?

Are you dynamic, adaptable and a team player who has a passion for education and health and social care workforce development?

The School of Health and Social Care is growing rapidly with over 1800 students across a range of undergraduate, post-graduate degrees, post registration continuous professional development and apprenticeship programmes. We also have a vibrant interprofessional research community lead by Professors whose focus is to enhance people’s health and wellbeing and to reduce health inequalities, with focuses on primary care, rural health and ageing.
