Teesside University are looking to appoint a new external examiner for the 20 credit Level 7 SWK4109-N Best Interest Assessors course, provided externally by Bond Solon Ltd and administered for subsequent accreditation purposes by the School of Health and Life Sciences. The University of Bolton, School of Nursing and Midwifery, is seeking to appoint an external examiner for our BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) programme, to support our existing external examiners. Examiners play a central role in the maintenance of the standards of the University’s awards and the currency of the curriculum. The duties will include the review of the students’ academic work and Practice Assessment Documents plus visiting practice learning partners as required at least once a year as per Nursing and Midwifery Council requirements. The successful candidate will be required to review and approve the assessment tasks and examination papers; review samples of student work on modules within the programme, including practice documents / visits; the endorsement of marks to confirm that the marks are an agreed, fully moderated and externally examined set of results; the submission of annual reports; attendance at appropriate boards of examiners and agreement to programme modifications. The curriculum has been developed from the NMC Standards (NMC 2018). The successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing modules that are to be delivered at level 6 starting in September 2022. On completion students are eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse. External examiners will be required to contribute to the assessment process, externally moderate and report on student work, visit practice placements if required, attend Course Assessment Boards, and submit an annual report. Appointees will have relevant field-related experience, academic qualifications to postgraduate level, including a recordable teaching qualification and will be registered with the NMC. Description: We are seeking to appoint an external examiner for our short course in Independent and Supplementary Prescribing which attracts a range of health professionals, including nurses, midwives, paramedics, occupational therapists, dieticians, operating department practitioners, podiatrists and physiotherapists.
