Annual Conference 2020

Priority booking is now open to members for our Annual Conference 2020, Thinking Strategically. Bookings will open to non-members in November.

Our Annual Conference 2020, Thinking Strategically, will focus on key issues and challenges for the health and higher education sectors. Sir David Behan, Chair of Health Education England, will be our opening keynote speaker at the conference and Jim Campbell, Director, Health Workforce, World Health Organisation, will be sharing his insight into the global health workforce.

In the morning we will have panel discussions on the healthcare workforce in England and the AHP workforce in the devolved nations and we will also be hearing from the new Universities UK President Professor Julia Buckingham CBE. Our final session of the day will be a panel discussion considering how we pay for higher education in the future. The conference will close with a drinks reception for those able to attend.

All members and senior faculty staff are invited, along with external delegates. As there is no limit on the number of delegates per institution the Annual Conference is an ideal opportunity to support progression planning by bringing staff who are not named members and might not have previously attended Council events.
