Senior Lecturer in Child Health Nursing
from £40,046 to £46,400 per annum
Joining the School of Health Sciences, you will contribute to the teaching in our dynamic undergraduate nursing degree programmes and make some contribution to continuing professional development in this specialist area. You will take an active role in supporting students in both theory and practice, whilst collaborating with staff in the school with interests in child health nursing in order to develop research opportunities in practice. We have a philosophy of engaging in partnership work and are committed to policy developments which you will be expected to engage with. You will be registered with the NMC as a Child Health Nurse, have a Masters/PhD in a relevant subject or be committed to studying at a higher level. You will have up to date knowledge of child health and have held a senior clinical role and have qualifications as a recordable Lecturer/Practice Educator. Experience in teaching skills utilising simulation techniques and current practice experience will be an advantage. If you have a PhD or Doctorate and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the university has an active programme for supporting early career researchers.
