University of Bradford Continuing Professional Development programmes – MSc Advanced Practice, Specialist Pathways and BSc (Hons) Clinical Nursing Practice.

The Division of Nursing, School of Health Studies, is seeking to appoint External Examiners for the academic session commencing September 2014.

Experience in a relevant background is required along with evidence of scholarly activity. Specialist areas:

  • Children and young people
  • Diabetes Care
  • Tissue Viability
  • Practice nursing

A sample range of assessed work will be required to be reviewed/ratified from the following modules:

  • Advances in leg Ulcer management/Limiting Pressure Damage/Wound Management
  • Applied Pathophysiology and Pharmacology in Acute and Long-term Conditions
  • Diabetes in Clinical Practice
  • Evidence Based Diabetes Care
  • Evidence Based Practice Development
  • Genetics and Health
  • Orthopaedic / Trauma Care
  • Reflection on Learning from Study Days (Levels 5,6&7)
  • Developing Lifelong Professional Learning
  • Independent Study (15 & 30 Credits)
  • Practice Nursing
  • Ethical and Legal Issues in Health and Social Care Practice
  • The mental health and psychological well being of children and young people/Child/young person with complex needs/Safeguarding/child protection
  • Care of acutely ill children/young people
  • Palliative care for children/young people

The tenure of appointment is for a four year period.
